"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."
God loves his creation. God did not abandon mankind when our sin broke the relationship between with him. God made a way to for those created in his image, man and woman, to have eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The perfect love of the father pursues those who are lost and seeks to bring them under his care. The method by which this happened was by the coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the author of salvation who sits at the right hand of the Father and is King over all creation. He came once promising redemption of sin, complete restoration of holiness in our lives and world, and the coming of the Kingdom of God. He is coming a 2nd time to fulfill those promises eternally. We look forward to his glorious return with great anticipation and should seek to live our lives proclaiming the salvation he offers the world.
Father, give me the boldness to live my life as a proclamation of the love you have showed me through Christ. Give me a compassion for the lost who are separated from you and help me to pursue them the truth of the gospel.
