“She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21 ESV
Jesus – ‘Jehovah saves’
The Idea:
Jesus saves you –
and it is the most important thing in the world
His Name – Jesus
I. Jesus is the atonement for your sin
"He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
II. Jesus is your reconciliation with God
"10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
11 And not only this, but we also [rejoice] in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation."
"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
