Bear Creek Church is currently seeking a Communications Coordinator to play a crucial role in managing multiple communication channels and ensuring seamless information delivery. Key responsibilities are outlined below.
Job Title: Communications Coordinator
Employment Type: Part Time (approximately 30 hours per week)
Supervisor: Director of Communications
Printing Management
Ensure adequate paper supply and manage all aspects of onsite printing.
Print weekly bulletins and other necessary pieces for weekend communications (e.g., welcome cards, baptism cards, giving envelopes).
Print event-specific materials such as postcards and flyers.
Assist other departments with use of printing equipment, including initial troubleshooting of any issues with printing equipment.
Coordinate with equipment vendors (printer, folder, cutter, mailing) to maintain functionality and supply.
Handle direct mail projects, especially those requiring bulk mail. Includes managing outside printing and fulfillment vendors when needed.
Signage and Displays
Oversee and maintain exterior road signage, including updates and event-specific banners.
Manage the production, storage, and setup of interior highlight displays.
Ensure digital signage (TVs) is updated on a weekly basis as needed.
Website & Digital Communications
Manage all content updates to the bearcreek.church website and the Bear Creek smartphone app.
Includes coordinating staff headshots for the website.
Coordinate with appropriate Bear Creek team members to ensure sign-up forms are created in Church Community Builder (CCB).
Create QR codes for events and communication initiatives.
Build and send all-church e-newsletters on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Schedule all-church text messages.
Social Media Coordination
Work with the worship department to secure photos and videos for social media platforms.
Proactively manage the social media calendar for the Bear Creek Church social channels, ensuring consistent high-quality content is posted.
Coordinate as needed with age-based ministry leaders regarding the ministry-specific social channels.
File Management
Proactively manage the shared file storage system (such as Dropbox), including file naming, organization, and archiving.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, the Communications Coordinator should possess the following qualifications:
Committed follower of Jesus.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong attention to detail.
Task-oriented with a solution-focused mindset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team/matrix environment.
Availability to work Sundays.
Bilingual Spanish would be a bonus.
