The first night of wiffle ball proved to live up to the hype as all four teams came ready to play. The Nationals and the Astros hooked up in game one and Esty Merlo from the Astros hit two 3 run home runs only to come up short 13-11. The second game included two former champions the Braves and the Phillies and this also included a hone run by Eric Friedmann for the Braves and with 2 on and 2 out in the last at bat the Braves left them stranded and lose a nail biter 10-9.
