Bear Creek Church
PRINCIPLES FOR REGATHERING
Regathering date: June 7, 2020
The process of coming back TOGETHER – Regathering the Church will require all of us to make some changes. In accordance with CDC guidelines and the Governor’s Office recommendations concerning best practices to reopen churches, these 8 guiding principles will be followed as we regather for worship.
1. Select a Service
You have the option of 4 worship services (no age group programs at this time) and can choose to join us onsite in person or online live.
Chapel / 8:15 AM in the Court
We invite older adults (55+) or those with higher health risks to attend this service. This will be the only service meeting in the Court ensuring the safest environment for this group of adults in our faith family.
All persons who fall within the higher-risk groups as defined by the CDC are encouraged to remain home and worship online until it is safe to gather in person.
Modern / 9:30 AM in the Worship Center
Modern / 11:00 AM in the Worship Center
Spanish / 12:30 PM in the Worship Center
2. Save a Seat
In order to achieve safe social distancing, our seating capacity will be reduced. In order to help us prepare for your attendance please let us know you’re coming and “save a seat.” If you change your mind and choose to join us online, please come back and remove your name opening up space for someone else.
3. Set a Sunday Schedule
Plan to arrive about 10 minutes before the service. Parking is in the front of the church and doors will be clearly marked by flags. View Campus Regathering Map.
Once entering the building we ask that you make your way to the Worship Center and find a seat. The length of services will be reduced to less than an hour. We will dismiss those in attendance by sections in order to ensure safe social distancing.
You will be asked to make your way outside where it is safer to visit with others on the front lawn. This also allows our sanitation service to prepare the building for the next gathering.
4. Practice Safe Social Distancing
Safe social distancing of 6 feet is to be observed. Touchless greeting (no hugs or handshakes) should be observed. Seating in the Worship Center will be adjusted to ensure separation.
Families will sit together. 3 seats of separation should be left between each family group.
5. Love Others, Wear a Mask
Love others, considering them first. Masks should be worn at all times while in the church, including throughout the Worship Services.
6. Hand Sanitizing
Greeters will spray your hands as you enter the building. Doors will remain open or be opened for you. Hand sanitation stations will be easily located. No items or printed materials will be passed among those in attendance.
Giving will be online or with drop boxes. Only sanitized Worship Activity Bags will be available for pickup for kids 5th grade or younger.
Restroom capacity will be monitored to ensure safe social distancing. They will be sanitized between services.
8. Sanitation Between Services
All spaces and touched surfaces will be sanitized and wiped down between services.
