Adult Grow Group Study

"The Book of Isaiah"

It’s little wonder that the early church fathers would often refer to Isaiah as “the fifth Gospel.”

Isaiah is a majestic book that reveals our majestic God. A God who displays his glory through both judgment and salvation. A God who holds all of creation and history in his hands—the same hands where he’s inscribed our names in love. The Holy One of Israel, high and lofty—and the one who loves to draw near to the lowly, the humble, the bruised and broken.

There is hardly any biblical-theological theme that Isaiah doesn’t voice, and it advances our understanding nearly all of them in profound ways. From his vantage point in the 8th century before Christ, Isaiah surveys the history of salvation past, present, and future, pointing us to the hope we have found in Christ and even further to the ultimate redemption of all things in the new heavens and the new earth that awaits at his return.

Come join us in our Grow Groups this Fall as we study Isaiah and his message of God’s good news for troubled times.
