THE IDEA:
If you have Christ, then you are blessed with the strength of His might. You are already in possession of it. So be strong in it.
I. WHAT IS THIS STRENGTH
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. The strength of His might
II. HOW TO BE STRONG
Ephesians 6:11-13
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
III. WHY CAN YOU BE THIS STRONG
Colossians 2:13–15 (NASB)
13 When you were dead in your transgressions ... He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, ... and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
15 When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.
IV. THE LORD’S SUPPER
1 Corinthians 11:23– 29
23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;
24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “ This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “ This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’ s death until He comes.
27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly.
