DAY 12

Each day we are given the opportunity to do something that would allow others to witness what it is we do. And everything we do we know that each and every task should be done with excellence. Are we doing it this way because we are trying to impress others with our set of skills or to move up in the rankings? No! We should do whatever is before us with great attitudes, joy and with a servant heart. We have to work at it with all of our heart. We cannot just walk through life and take the easy road. Doing an excellent job requires dedication, hard work, and attention to detail.
How do we accomplish this kind of heart that allows us to see the jobs before us as doing it for the Lord? First, we know that He is the One who gave us the skills, abilities, gifts, and a passion for what we do each day. As soon as our feet hit the ground each day, we should be praising Him for another opportunity to be ready for whatever we are facing that day. Sometimes it is not always what we expect, or think is going to happen, but we have a chance to face the day with high expectations if we are going to do everything with excellence.
Let us begin the day by praying and thanking God for this new day and all that it holds. We might find that we are in a crisis or have some challenging circumstances or battles that seem unwinnable. But our God is big enough to conquer anything, therefore we are more than conquerors and can overcome and see our external circumstances as something God knows about. This can give us the confidence to help us finish it and complete it successfully. Trust Him to help you through each day!

Pray
Heavenly Father, I come before you today offering my life as your humble servant. I seek to be a good example to others as I seek to give everything I have not to just finish a job, but to do it with my whole heart and with excellence. May I be a representative of Christ in all my actions and words. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
