Becoming (part 5): The Fruit of Peace, Pastor David Welch

Updated: Nov 13

November 6, 2022

“22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”
Galatians 5:22–25 (NASB)

The Idea:

Peace is the settled confidence that no matter what you face, it will ultimately turn for your good.

Peace Operating in your Life

I. Embrace the Peace that Makes All Other Peace

“… since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.“

Romans 5:1 (ESV)

“6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. “

Romans 5:6,8 (NASB)

II. Learn the Practices of Peace

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. “

Philippians 4:7 (NASB)

III. Believe the Outcome of Peace

“The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.”

Romans 16:20 (NASB)
