If God is For Us (Part 5): An Overwhelming Overcomer, Pastor David Welch

May 5, 2024

What if you had the confidence that you could handle anything, I mean anything, that may come into your life?

35 “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.”

Romans 8:35, 37 (NASB1995)

The Idea:

There’s a way to live, knowing that nothing can ever defeat or destroy you.

An Overwhelming Conqueror

I. What is conquering?

35 “ … Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer …”

Romans 8:35-37  (NASB1995)

“WE [can] overwhelmingly conquer”

Hupernikomen :

“To defeat overwhelmingly or surpassingly.”

II. What gives me the ability to overcome?

“But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.”

Romans 8:37 (NASB1995)

III. How does it affects the way I live?

“But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.”

Romans 8:37 (NASB1995)

It’s hard. There’s a fight. Then I win.

“ … This I know, that God is for me.”

Psalm 56:9 (NASB1995)
