In today’s Reflections on Life Together, Pastor Scott reminds us that church-community is a gift of gift of God’s grace and not our own personal accomplishment, just like our salvation by grace through faith that includes us in Christ’s Body to begin with. This frees us from the expectations we demand of ourselves and others that can discourage us and distance us from the intimacy we need with others to grow. We strive for unity—but our striving is simply maintaining the unity we already enjoy because of the work of the Holy Spirit in us.
