Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, mentioned in each of the four Gospels. Jesus entered the city knowing He would be tried and crucified. But He welcomed His fate and Pastor David reminds us that "to follow Jesus, you too, must embrace the cross."
1. Jesus had to embrace the cross
It was the only way for us to be transformed by His love
It was the only way for us to be forgiven
It was the only way for us to be given eternal life
2. You have to embrace the cross, too
Three Costs:
Let him deny himself, the sources of your old identity
Take up his cross, die to all your own agendas
Follow Me, give up lesser leaders
